b) (x-3)²-25 = (x-3)²-5² = (x-3-5)(x-3+5) = (x-8)(x+2)

2) 
a) f(3) = (3-3)²-25 = -25

b) f(x)=0 ⇒ (x-8)(x+2)=0
              ⇒ x-8=0  ou x+2=0
              ⇒ x=8  ou x=-2

c) f(x)=-16 ⇒ x²-6x-16 = -16
                  ⇒ x²-6x = -16+16=0
                  ⇒ x(x-6) = 0
                  ⇒ x=0 ou x-6=0
                  ⇒ x=0 ou x=6

d) f(x)=-25 ⇒ (x-3)²-25 = -25
                  ⇒ (x-3)² = -25+25 = 0
                  ⇒ x-3 = 0
                  ⇒ x=3
