a- When Detective Eliza Garret  sat on the beach in the warm Florida sun, she was reading her favorite magazine.

b- ...and she saw her partner, Detective Harry Field, who was hurrying in her direction.

while Detective Garret --> mais il faudrait écrire =
While D.E.G. was sitting......., she read (et pas was reading) si je ne me trompe pas. Je préfère être hônnête....je ne suis pas 100% sûr.
