On a un triangle rectangle ABC rectangle en A:
AB=6cm
BC=x+3
AC=x
A l'aide du théorème de Pythagore,calcule x.

ABC triangle rectangle en A ⇒ application du théorème de Pythagore
BC² = AB² + AC²
(x + 3)² = 6² + x²
x² + 6 x + 9 = 36 + x²
6 x + 9 = 36 ⇒ 6 x = 36 - 9 = 27
⇒ x = 27/6 = 3 x 9/2 x 3 = 9/2 = 4.5
⇒ x = 4.5
